Tooling Technician

Responsibilities
- Manage all tooling
- Track all tools
- Internal at MHC
- External at Vendors ( MHC/Customer Paid )
- New tool design / PDP ?
- In conjunction with Product Engineers and process engineering
- Work with external tooling design resources
- Auto Cad? /Miba design standard?
- Order Tooling
- Spec/Quote tooling externally
- Build tools
- Maintain tools pro-actively
- Ensure tools are ready when needed
- Track all tools
Requirements
- Hands on position
- Computer skills required ( data entry, excel, e-mail etc. )
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read mechanical prints / tooling drawings
- Experience with and understanding of production
- Light machining capability ( bridgeport, grinding etc. )
- Autocad - light user ( open files, measurements etc. )
- Experience with measurement tools
- Meet goals, prioritize work, manage time
- Be able to work within a team and with other departments
- Must be organized / 5-S
- Safety 1st mentality
