Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities
The accounting specialist position will primarily handle accounts receivable and treasury related topics. Experienced candidates will also handle month-end closing processes for Miba companies that are non-SAP companies (i.e. companies that utilize ERP or accounting systems other than Miba SAP). This accountant will be the primary administrator for banking topics such as online account management, relationship and information management with bank contacts, and the corporate credit card administrator. This position will also be responsible for maintaining the corporate information for relevant Miba entities (i.e. operating agreements, corporate resolutions, slate of authorized personnel, etc.).
Primary tasks will include:
- Routine review of cash positions to assess financing needs and payment run plausibility
- Request loan draw or repayment
- Local key user of treasury software, managing asset and liability details with corporate treasury team members
- Investing in short term deposits, renewals etc.
- Execution and logging of manual (exceptional) payments outside of standard SAP process
- Maintenance of online banking portal- initiating and updating of account settings, adding users,
- Corporate credit card administration, involves the issuance of new cards, cancelling cards changing limits, assisting Miba employees with credit card topics, etc.
- Daily posting of bank account activity for assigned Miba sites
- Monthly close topics related to AR, such as bank reconciliation.
- Year-end reporting and work with internal and external auditors, especially in requests related to treasury and AR functions
- Working with other AR colleagues to improve posting process, automation rates, etc.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum two-year degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, bachelor degree preferred
Equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree may be accepted
SAP finance and controlling module preferred, or other ERP finance system
