Machinist
Machinist
We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our tool shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining and repairing production tooling, creating efficient machining programs, and supporting production through high-quality tooling work.
Your Responsibilities
Machine production and support tooling accurately to specification
Create efficient machining programs using MasterCam and WorkNC
Operate multiple machines simultaneously as required
Run tool shop equipment to produce and repair production tooling
Machine tool steel in the heat-treated state
Measure completed work using the metric system and precision measuring tools
Read and apply GD&T requirements
Support production and the tool shop in all tooling-related matters
Maintain inventory of supplies needed for daily work
Track tooling work using SAP internal rework forms and confirm operations in SAP
Maintain 5S standards in your work area and designated areas
Support a safe working environment and encourage reporting of unsafe situations
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Experience/Skills
Experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or tool shop environment
Strong computer skills and experience with CAM software, preferably MasterCam and WorkNC
Good understanding of GD&T
Experience machining hardened tool steel is an advantage
Ability to use metric measuring tools accurately
Ability to operate multiple machines and adapt to changing priorities
Experience with SAP is a plus
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
