Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to take responsibility for the operation, governance, and continuous development of Miba’s data and analytics platform, with a strong focus on Databricks and Unity Catalog.

What you can expect
- Set up and configure Databricks workspaces
- Manage data assets such as catalogs, schemas, and tables using Unity Catalog
- Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, scalable, and available
- Define and maintain platform standards, governance, and best practices
- Help implement and improve the organization’s Data Domain structure
- Advise data scientists, analysts, and business users across Miba
- Enable self-service data use within a governed framework
- Organize onboarding, training, and user support
- Monitor platform usage, performance, and availability
- Improve platform efficiency, usability, and automation
- Maintain clear technical documentation
- Participate in Agile meetings and sprint planning
- Collaborate with IT teams, architects, security specialists, and external partners
What makes you special
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark
- Solid knowledge of Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Terraform/IaC
- Understanding of cloud security, governance, access management, networking, monitoring, and automation
- Knowledge of Agile methods and experience in cross-functional teams
- Structured, solution-oriented approach with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to different audiences
- Fluent in German and English
