Lead Production Technician

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Production Technician to oversee daily production operations in assigned area. This hands-on role involves supervising production processes, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of technicians and operators to meet production goals safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production priorities in assigned area to ensure product quality and mchine uptime
• Set up, operate, and maintain pressing machinery
• Train, mentor, and support team members assigned to area to ensure adherence to procedures and standards
• Monitor production metrics and implement improvement measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues promptly
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize production processes
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications preferred
• Preferred - Minimum of 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment setup, and production flow
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings and work instructions
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
