Supply Chain Manager
Success profile
We are looking for an experienced supply chain manager to ensure that our supply chain and logistics operations are functioning properly. You will analyze supply chain data and performance, maintain inventory, and actively participate in employee supervision and training. In this role, you'll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Permanent contact with multiple suppliers to ensure the best supply and production prices.
Planning and implementation of the supply chain strategy, taking into account stages such as the acquisition of raw materials, manufacturing processes or transport routes.
Design of the flows of goods and work within the warehouse, making decisions such as picking routes, the type of handling equipment or the storage systems necessary to optimize the performance of the facility.
Establishment of KPIs to be analyzed to monitor the performance of each operation.
Control over stock or human capital volumes to respond to current orders.
Identification of bottlenecks in storage and supply to production lines, in picking strategies or in the management of the dispatch of products to their final destination.
Research into new models of warehouse management, dispatch of goods or manufacture of products with the aim of optimising warehouse resources as much as possible.
Responsibilities
Consolidate the company's supply chain strategy.
Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
Evaluate and report on KPIs
Overseeing logistics to make sure they run smoothly
Maintain inventory and supply chain records
Train and mentor employees
Finding cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
Resolve issues that arise (e.g., delivery delays, accidents)
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts)
Ensure that supply chain processes comply with legal requirements and standards
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve more profitable agreements.
Requirements
Verifiable previous experience of 6 years, as a supply chain manager or in a similar field in the automotive industry.
Excellent knowledge of the supply chain processes of materials such as steel and auto parts.
Relevant software work experience (SAP)
Strong communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
