Success profile
Perform laboratory testing, product inspections, dimensional measurements, material evaluations, and validation activities to ensure that products, components, raw materials, and manufacturing processes comply with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
What you can expect
1. Product Testing and Inspection
- Conduct dimensional, mechanical, metallurgical, electrical, or chemical testing according to control plans and specifications.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product evaluations.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and product standards.
- Document and report test results accurately and timely.
2. Laboratory Equipment Management
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and measuring devices.
- Ensure proper calibration and verification of gauges, instruments, and laboratory equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain calibration records and laboratory documentation.
3. Measurement and Analysis
- Conduct dimensional measurements using:
- CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Height gauges
- Optical measurement systems
- Surface roughness instruments
- Analyze data and identify deviations from specifications.
- Support Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies.
4. Quality Documentation
- Prepare laboratory reports and test certificates.
- Maintain inspection records and traceability documentation.
- Support PPAP documentation requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with quality management systems.
5. Non-Conformance Management
- Identify and document non-conforming products and materials.
- Support root cause investigations and containment activities.
- Participate in defect analysis and failure investigations.
- Assist Quality Engineers in corrective and preventive action activities.
6. New Product and Process Validation
- Support APQP activities through testing and validation.
- Conduct capability studies and product validations.
- Assist with prototype, pre-production, and production sample evaluations.
- Support customer and internal validation requirements.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in laboratory and process improvement initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to testing methods and inspection procedures.
- Support reduction of internal defects and customer complaints.
- Contribute to waste reduction and operational efficiency projects.
8. Compliance and Safety
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and environmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with:
- IATF 16949
- ISO 9001
- Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
- Internal Quality Standards
- Maintain housekeeping and organization within the laboratory.
